St. Hilary Lions Blows Out St. Genevieve Thanks To Big Third Inning

St. Hilary Lions put up seven runs in the third on its way to an 11-3 victory over St. Genevieve on Sunday. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Gavin Muller, Sean Tingley-Kelly, and Liam Potichen, a walk by George Conway, and a triple by Tommy Yaegel.

St. Hilary Lions got things moving in the first inning, when Tingley-Kelly doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

St. Hilary Lions scored seven runs in the third inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Muller, Tingley-Kelly, and Potichen, a walk by Conway, and a triple by Yaegel.

Conway earned the win for St. Hilary Lions. He allowed five hits and two runs over two and a third innings, striking out one and walking one. Yaegel threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Yaegel recorded the last five outs to earn the save for St. Hilary Lions.

TJ took the loss for St. Genevieve. He surrendered 11 runs on six hits over four innings, striking out nine.

Tingley-Kelly went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead St. Hilary Lions in hits. St. Hilary Lionsstole nine bases during the game as three players stole more than one. Mason Powellled the way with three.

Ryan B led St. Genevieve with two hits in two at bats. St. Genevieve was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Kevin had the most chances in the field with nine. Sean led St. Genevieve with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with seven stolen bases.
